Social media platform, X was zealous on Saturday as radio and television presenter Robert Marawa and influencer ChrisExcel got involved in a “Twar”.
For those who don’t know, a Twar is internet slang describing a fight among individuals on Twitter.
This happened immediately after the PSL game where Mamelodi Sundowns thrashed Kaizer Chiefs. The Soweto team accused referees of being unfair and so did Marawa on his X timeline.
Marawa wrote: “Whatever the game....Always remember that South Africa still has amateur referees refereeing a professional league”.
ChrisExcel did not waste time in responding: “Teams have been getting robbed for a long time yall start sounding work when Chiefs get robbed.”
Reacting to this, Marawa said: “We’ve been fighting this war for years while you were fighting for your identity!!”
It is reported that ChrisExcel might allegedly not be a South African but no one has proven that since he does not use his real picture.
“It must have been a tough fight bra Rob. This is why your heart is left with 1 bar….” said ChrisExcel.
It is public knowledge that Marawa has in the past suffered heart attacks, so it seems as if ChrisExcel was mocking his health.
Marawa hit back saying that the joke was tired.
“Lunch Bar, one bar!! Who cares!! Tired joke!! I live as Robert, and you live as what?? asked Marawa.
ChrisExcel responded saying: “It’s not a joke it’s your health brother….. You live as Robert with one bar heart”.
Marawa responded by highlighting the fact that he is alive.
“I live!! You clone!! I’m worried about your health as well, brother...ovulation while being male is medically impossible,” said Marawa.
ChrisExcel threw another below-the-belt punch by saying Marawa should be married at his age.
“I’m so worried about you at your age and your health. You should be a married and respected old man … And you’re out there busy dating injury time slay queens….” said ChrisExcel.
Marawa in his last words Twar said: “Referee’s Optional Time!! Merry Xmas as you enter your favourite topics and drift from what brought you here!! Let me go fishing while you play with cats!!”.
ChrisExcel again responded with a personal bar.
“Says someone who shamelessly became a step father to a daughter of his own friend….” said ChrisExcel.
He posted a picture of celebrity Pearl Thusi who is the ex-girlfriend to Marawa and the mother of Walter Mokoena’s child.
X users were entertained by some of the insults exchanged between the two, they referred to it as “5-star cooking”
X user Skyline-check wrote: “ChrisExcel is a wild boy”.
Another user, Tshepo Motshewa wrote: “You always know they’re losing the argument when they start to insult you. It’s funny how ChrisExcel moved quickly from soccer match to bedroom affairs. Your favourite is weak!!!”
