East London – The 50-overs limited-overs match between the Warriors and the Cape Cobras was abandoned without a ball being bowled at Buffalo Park on Friday. Rain, which started Thursday evening, persisted during the morning and then later in the early afternoon, preventing a 3-o'clock start. Although the umpires inspected the pitch and playing areas at regular intervals, conditions were impossible for play to start.

Each team takes two points from the game and both are unbeaten after three matches in this season's series. The Warriors have so far accumulated 11 points from three games while the Cobras are one point adrift.

The Warriors also hold a slight advantage in net run rate - 0.86 to 0.30 of the Cobras. – Sapa
