Johannesburg – The Dolphins remained unbeaten in the One-Day Cup campaign, albeit by default, as they settled for a share of the points in their rained out clash against the Cape Cobras in Paarl on Friday.
The match was delayed by rain, after the hosts won the toss and chose to bat, with the players taking to the field nearly an hour after the scheduled start.
With the fixture reduced to 43 overs an innings, the Dolphins bagged the early wicket of opener Andrew Puttick, who was caught behind off a Kyle Abbott delivery in the first over.
The players were taken off, however, after two overs, again due to rain, and the match was eventually called off without a result, with the Cobras on five for the loss of one wicket.
On Sunday, the Cobras will host the Titans in Paarl, and the Dolphins will be at home against the Highveld Lions in Pietermaritzburg. – Sapa
