Van’s Auctioneers is inviting tenders for two irrigation farms in Zambia. One of the farms is on the Kafue River and the other on Lake Nampamba.
The property on the Kafue River is the 3000 hectare Chankalamo Farm, which has water permits for about 1000ha and rights for extracting 41000 cubic metres of water from the river daily. The farm has 530ha under pivot, 270ha of rain-fed land and 2200ha for cattle grazing. It has generators, a main pump house, generator room and pressure-pump station.
The second property is a portion of Nampamba Farm, 258ha in size. The farm has rights to water from Lake Nampamba and improvements include a shed, workshop, house and silos.
As a separate lot, all the farms’ implements are also on tender. This includes planters, tractors, trailer, rippers, sprayer and excavator.
