A game farm measuring 24ha that includes a well-established and highly profitable guest house and conference centre in George will be auctioned on May 29.

Tanya Jovanovski, franchisee of Rawson Auctions Western Cape, believes the property, which has attracted a constant influx of international and local guests for many years, represents a lucrative investment opportunity.

Situated just 2km from George airport, the guest house component of the property is able to accommodate 100 people within two houses, seven flats, five wooden cottages and an 11-room hostel.

Other buildings onsite include workshops, a function room that can also accommodate 100 people, and staff cottages. The function venue includes an extensive kitchen, a bar (the lodge is licensed), and an attached lapa and braai.

A large dam supplies the property with water and is a great spot to fish, says Jovanovski.

“Visitors also have a good chance of spotting wild game, which will be included in the sale of the property.

“This game farm with guest accommodation promises a good return on investment as the month-to-month short-term rental of accommodation and events facilities are lucrative, and there is also the option of taking bookings for daily accommodation and events.”

The property will be auctioned at noon on May 29 at the Rawson Property Group’s head office at 222 Main Road, Rondebosch.

Jovanovski says the sale will include the property, as well as the fixtures and equipment required for the conference centre and accommodation, and the game.

Offers should be submitted on Rawson Auctions’ Offer to Purchase form, a copy of which can be obtained by contacting the auctions team on [email protected] or 0799803457. Bids can be delivered to the Rawson Property Group’s head office in Rondebosch.
