Chris Cilliers, chief executive and principal for the group’s Winelands office, says people with children at university are still actively buying sectional title properties, and most popular for students are flats as near campus as possible.
“There are several new blocks of student accommodation being developed. However, developers are moving to the private residence model where one purchases a single en-suite room with communal living areas and kitchens.”
Sectional title development is continuing in the Helderberg area, especially in Paardevlei and De Velde in Somerset West, which are both close to various amenities.
