A new school, roadworks and fibre cabling in the Deep South should boost the number of buyers in the area.

The Deep South, as far as Kommetjie and Noordhoek, has become increasingly popular in recent years because it offers a good lifestyle and great value for money in a market where property prices have spiralled.

However, many buyers have been deterred by the lack of good schools in some areas and archaic infrastructure and increasingly congested roads, say Lew Geffen Sotheby’s International Realty agents.

The new Generation School has just opened in Imhoff on the Kommetjie Road and will eventually accommodate pupils from pre-school through to tertiary levels.

Roadworks and fibre cabling are also almost complete.

The group’s agents in Kommetjie report that several buyers have already enrolled their children at the new school, and demand for commercial spaces has picked up.
