Among the varied properties on offer from In2Assets at the company’s next auction is a prime industrial warehouse of about 7000m² in Hammarsdale. The sale is scheduled for the Durban Country Club on February 18 at 11am.

Muhammad Ali, who is handling the auction of this lot for In2Assets, says the double-volume warehouse - with A-grade offices - is accessed via five roller-shutter doors and there is ample yard area for the turning of large trucks.

“The warehouse has a concrete floor and sisalation on the ceiling to maintain temperate working conditions. It is a double-volume warehouse with sprinkler system installed for firefighting,” Ali explains.

Hammarsdale - a popular industrial node surrounded by small-scale farming - is home to major companies such as Rainbow Chicken Foods’s distribution, sales and logistics centre; Fibertex and the large, high-tech Mr Price distribution centre in Keystone Industrial Park.

“The property on offer is at 28 Van Eck Avenue, close to the Georgedale railway and power stations and is easily accessed from the N3, Anderson Road or Van Eck Avenue itself.

“Currently, the N3’s MR385 Main Road-Mthoko Mkhize Road intersection is being widened to accommodate high volumes of traffic. North-east of this intersection, the proposed dry port will be developed and a new shopping mall is being built about 1.5km from the property. There are also other small-scale retail businesses and a post office nearby,” Ali adds.
