A panel van like no other tops the list of Grand Coffee House and Ice Cream vehicles and other company assets assigned for disposal to Bidway Auction House by the joint liquidators of the ill-fated upmarket coffee establishment.

The sale is scheduled for Thursday at 11am at Bidway’s premises at 179 Albert Road in Woodstock.

Stef Olivier, who is handling the sale for Bidway, says the vehicles were used by company staff and for marketing.

“The food panel van is a show-stopper: a unique 2016 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter fitted with high-tech accessories worth more than R500000 to turn it into a refrigerated mobile ice cream parlour with canopy; stainless steel counters; three-phase and single-phase power; security cameras and plumbing. It was the centre of attention at events.”

Other vehicles on auction will be a selection of late-model company “rep” cars, seven LDVs and two forklift trucks. A large selection of restaurant furniture and equipment, such as eight new 16-flavour ice cream scoop fridges, will be knocked down.

Viewing is on Wednesday between 9am and 4pm. For full details, call 0214470396 or see www.bidway.co.za.
