Among the varied lots for In2Assets’ multi-property auction in Durban on October 25 at 11am is a large industrial/commercial park in Mthatha (formerly Umtata).
Many of South Africa’s political leaders - including Nelson Mandela and Walter Sisulu - come from this old “Transkei” area.
The property to be sold by In2Assets at the Durban Country Club is a 5ha plot comprising nine stands. Some have improvements such as the Spar Distribution Centre for the region. The industrial/commercial park is in the Vulindela Heights industrial node of Mthatha, close to the Southernwood Shopping Centre and the relatively recently opened BT Ngebs City Mall.
Other properties on offer at the October 25 auction include an office block in Katherine Street, Sandton; a regional retail centre in Butterworth, Eastern Cape; an apartment block in the Durban CBD and an industrial complex in New Germany.
