Park Village Auctions will on October 22 at 11am on site call for bids for the assets of an Empangeni meat retailer and food processor in business rescue.

Best Cut’s commercial property at 10-12 Fifth Street, Kuleka, Empangeni, comprises 14 offices, cold rooms, double-door smokers, warehouse and sheds with chiller rooms, deep freezers, and meat processing factory.

Loose assets to go on the block include:

* Maurer-Atmos 4-trolley steam cookers.

* 3008 model rotary screw compressor.

* Handtmann automatic sausage filling lines.

* BTE blenders and mincers.

* Laska frozen meat cutters.

* KS 175 micro cutters.

* Multivac vacuum machines.

Also on auction will be stainless steel platform scales and prep tables, a pickle injector, office equipment and vehicles, including forklift trucks and Mercedes-Benz 1214 refrigerated rigid trucks.

PVA has a special business rescue division that specialises in selling assets of businesses experiencing operational difficulties. Says PVA’s Keith Green: “Most companies in business rescue simply need a capital injection or professional restructuring to continue operating, so business rescue auctions represent a great opportunity for investors to acquire established businesses.

“We expect to see strong attendance from food processing or manufacturing concerns, especially because the property could easily be used as warehousing and cold storage facility.”
