In2Assets is to offer two luxury houseboats, five tender boats, four motor vehicles and 100% shares of the company, Shayamanzi Houseboat, which cruises KZN’s Lake Jozini for wildlife viewing and tiger fishing.

The auction is scheduled to be held at the Durban Country Club at 11am on November 20.

The glass fibre houseboats, Shayamanzi 1 and 2, sleep 12 and 20 passengers, respectively, and come with Jacuzzi spa baths, bars, TV, pressurised showers and other luxuries. The tender boats, enabling passengers to silently cruise the lake banks for game and bird viewing, are allocated to the houseboats.

Lake Jozini is in game-rich country with Pongola Game Reserve and Pongola Nature Reserve bordering the lake which is a water playground for elephants and hippo and a drinking spot for rhino, buck, crocodiles and a variety of water birds. The Ezemvelo Mkuze Game Reserve is nearby.

Luke Hearn, handling the sale for In2Assets, says the auction will cover full shareholding in the company that owns the houseboats as well as all applicable licences, operational agreements and current and future sales. Four motor vehicles will also be on offer.

“The houseboats are the only two of their kind offering both game viewing, tiger fishing and floating corporate conferences in South Africa.

“They are docked at Jozini Tiger Lodge, Main Road, Nsimbane - only 3.5 hours’ drive from Durban. The cruises on the lake, set against a backdrop of the Lebombo Mountains, offer a small-scale Lake Kariba experience and ownership by a luxury hospitality group, who will develop the offering even further, will be exciting.”
