Infrastructure has ripple effect

Infrastructure development can have as much impact on towns and residential areas as commercial development.

This is being seen in False Bay, where upgrades to Kommetjie Road (M65), which serves Capri, Masiphumelele, Kommetjie and Noordhoek, will allow for further residential and commercial development as well as better access to areas such as Simon’s Town and Fish Hoek, says Steve Thomas, franchise manager for Lew Geffen Sotheby’s International Realty.

One of the nodes that will benefit significantly from the improved road network is the mountainside suburb of Capri, says Mike Solomon, area specialist for Lew Geffen Sotheby’s International Realty in Capri, Faerie Knowe and Sunhill.

“It will effectively open the existing Capri Village and allow for much-needed development around this mountainous area with its breath-taking views.

“It will stimulate ongoing improvement which will translate into solid returns for those who have invested.”
