After months of disappointing vehicle sales, the industry has returned to positive growth with April sales figures from the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of SA showing 266 more units were sold compared to April last year.
Motor vehicle auctioneer Roy Lazarus of Park Village Auctions says this should be a welcome stimulation for the entire automotive supply chain including dealers, banks and, ultimately, auctioneers.
More vehicles financed means more vehicles will be up for auction.
Park Village Auctions is one of the largest auctioneers of repossessed vehicles. Its next Gauteng vehicle sale will be on June 19 with a truck and trailer sale at Nasrec Showgrounds on June 27.
