With about 320 new generators, ranging from 1KVA to 250KVA, among the items that will be up for bidding, WH Auctioneers Cape’s next yard sale promises to be of interest to households and small businesses that need power during load shedding.

The group’s Martin Dibowitz says the larger diesel generators on offer are enclosed units with ATS panels, allowing automatic switch-over when load shedding kicks in, while the smaller generators would suit a variety of users, both business and residential.

The massive auction will include a selection of plant from self-generating lighting towers and fork lifts, ranging in size from 2 tons to 7 tons, to tractors, farming equipment, rollers, a telehandler, small construction plant, and trucks, including long-distance truck tractors and rigid units.

In addition, numerous vehicles will go under the hammer, including late-model luxury buses, executive vehicles, Mercedes Benz Vitos and a variety of small runabouts, he says.

The sale will be held at 10.30am on April 4 at WH’s auction warehouse at 17 Dacres Avenue in Epping 2.

The auction will be conducted live with an option to bid via the auction group’s webcast system for buyers who can’t attend in person.

The auction assets may be viewed between 9am and 4.30pm on April 3.

Staff will be on hand to assist buyers with queries. Finance will be available to qualifying buyers. For details, see www.whauctions.com or call Graeme Grobbelaar at 0842006272 or WH Auctioneers’ office at 0212040599.
