Feedback: Fibre installers

I believe in being fair and because I have slammed fibre installers in our suburb, I felt I must show you Jane’s letter about the success story in hers: In Heldervue, Somerset West, fibre installers have done an excellent job.

Pavement teams come in and work as a rolling process, filling in where they have finished. Paved and tarred driveways that had to have small sections removed have been made good to a high standard. Pavers were neatly stacked against the wall while the digging was under way.

I saw a brickie (can we still use the term “brickie”?) re-seating pavers that had been removed and, bar a slight colour difference in grouting, the reworked area is hardly visible.

Even the pavement in front of an empty plot was put back the way it was. In many cases they chose a route around trees and shrubs.

“Brickie” is a great term for one who can lay bricks, unlike many labourers claiming to be artisans. I believe the investigation of non-registered and non-compliant contractors is hotting up, with shady deals coming to the surface.
