An architect-designed property featured in the Digest of South African Architecture in 2014 and in the Ca’Asi Young Architects in Africa exhibition at the Venice Biennale in 2016 will be auctioned by Rawson Auctions Western Cape this month.

Surrounded by the mountains of the Warmbokkeveld Valley, the weekend house is on the edge of Prince Alfred, says Tanya Jovanovski, franchisee of Rawson Auctions Western Cape.

The 1126m² estate has a vineyard and 25 mature olive trees.

The home has only one bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, with inside and outside showers, and a small study.

The open-plan living room has a fireplace and opens out to a terrace.

“The modern yet rustic kitchen is equipped with built-in cupboards, a gas hob and under-counter oven, and there is a separate laundry.

“The property includes a well-maintained garden with an automated irrigation system, flower beds and a vegetable garden, a double tandem garage with loft storage, a gravel driveway lined with mature olive trees and rosemary bushes, and an orchard with young fruit and nut trees.”

The property will be auctioned at noon on October 24 at the Rawson Property Group head office at 222 Main Road, Rondebosch.
