A prominent retail property at 27 Mangosuthu Buthelezi Drive, along the main road entrance into the busy inland town of Eshowe, will be auctioned by In2Assets on June 19. Eshowe, with its diversified and thriving economy, has a rich history and is the oldest town in Zululand.

The property on offer is on the corner of Mangosuthu Buthelezi Drive and Kangela Street, major arteries into the bustling town centre, emanating directly from the R66 regional road.

Luke Hearn, who is handling the sale for In2Assets, says the property to be auctioned is over 1300m² and features a 570m² retail building, on-site parking and entrances from each road frontage.

“The corner position allows easy access into the property from any direction. Furthermore, the building is in an exceptionally busy pedestrian and vehicular traffic area providing scope for maximum brand exposure opportunities.”

Hearn says the nearby residential areas’ shopping requirements will benefit any retail-oriented business.

“The property is in great condition, and it could be used in its current state, but also is ideal for redevelopment.”

Situated between Durban and Richards Bay, Eshowe is surrounded by farmland but has a bustling town centre accommodating many national brands. Several new commercial and residential developments are under way to boost the town’s growth.

The auction on June 19 will form part of In2Assets’ major multi-property sale at which about 25 high-profile properties with an estimated value of over R400million will be auctioned.
