Big bucks for bulky script

One of the copies of the Gone with the Wind screenplay used during the filming of the 1939 movie classic fetched $26250 (about R383000) at a Julien’s auction.

The historical movie, still widely regarded as one of the greatest ever made, has a running time of 220 minutes. So, that screenplay on offer must have been quite bulky.

The leading roles were played by Vivien Leigh (Scarlett) and Clark Gable (Rhett).
