Among the lots for In2Assets’ major multi-property sale are 12 mini-factories - ranging in size from 150m² to 400m² - in a prime location in New Germany. The auction is scheduled for September 18 at 11am at the Durban Country Club.

The mini-factories in the sectional title scheme, SS Vizak Properties, at 4 Rodger Sishi (Blair Atholl) Road, corner Posselt Road, are exposed to high levels of passing traffic and are only about 200m from the new M5 which links New Germany to the Durban CBD.

Nine of the mini-factories are accessed via roller-shutter doors. Some have mezzanine storage areas, ablution facilities and kitchenettes. Unit 14 is a large double-volume warehouse/factory with easy access from Posselt Road. Two of the units have recently been developed into triple-volume mini-factory units and are 50% complete. Site improvements include paved yard areas and boundary walls.

Virend Deonarain, who is handling the auction for In2Assets, says New Germany is a well-developed neighbourhood featuring mainly heavy and light industries.

“It’s one of the oldest industrial trade nodes in South Africa and very popular with business owners as it provides easy access to a large customer base in and around Durban.

“There are also adequate transport facilities for employees who reside in New Germany, Pinetown and Clermont and a wide variety of amenities within a 3km radius from the property,” he says.
