Cape Town - President Jacob Zuma will release the long-awaited report by the Farlam commission of inquiry into the fatal shooting of stiking miners in 2012 at 7pm on Thursday night, the presidency said.

“President Jacob Zuma will address the nation this evening, 25 June 2015, and also release the report of the Marikana commission of inquiry,” his office said.

“The president will address the nation through the public broadcaster, the SABC at 19h00.”

Judge Ian Farlam, who headed the commission of inquiry probing the death of 34 people on August 16 and another 10 during the preceding week, handed the report to Zuma on March 31.
