If you’ve ever wanted to touch and try on a garment from Shein before buying it, now is your chance.
That’s if you live in Johannesburg, that is.
The global online fashion and lifestyle store will launch its first-ever pop-up store in South Africa.
It is set to take place from August 2 to 11, at the Mall of Africa in Johannesburg.
The 10-day event promises an interactive experience for fashion enthusiasts.
“We are delighted to bring the Shein experience to South Africa with our very first pop-up store,” said Crystal Chen, Head of Brand, Shein, South Africa.
“Our mission has always been to empower individuals to express their unique identities through accessible and affordable fashion, and this pop-up represents a tangible embodiment of that vision."
Drawing inspiration from Shein's ethos of self-expression and creativity, the pop-up store will invite patrons to explore a curated selection of summer and winter fashion, spanning women's clothing, men's fashion, kids' wear, accessories, and Shein's exclusive makeup collection.
“This pop-up store is more than just a retail space; it's a platform for unfiltered self-expression,” added Chen.
“We invite everyone, from seasoned fashionistas to casual shoppers, to join us on this journey of creativity and exploration.”
While it’s a great opportunity to experience the brand and what it has to offer, shoppers will not be able to purchase products at the store.
With QR codes connecting the in-store experience to the online platform, shoppers will be able to transition from browsing to purchasing directly from the app.
This means that the only difference is that you can assess the quality of the product before adding it to your cart on the app.
