Every parent knows this feeling. You’re thrilled when your little one is quietly entertaining themselves, but after a while, that silence starts to feel a bit suspicious.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve walked into a room to find my kids up to no good after they’ve been way too quiet for too long.
You know what I mean, that gut feeling that something is definitely going down.
That’s exactly what happened to TikToker Ali Jones.
She shared a video of the moment she decided to check in on her daughter after things got too quiet.
“I never thought silence would be a scary thing until I had kids,” she captioned the clip.
Feeling a little uneasy, Jones grabbed her phone and hit record—just in case it was something worth capturing.
“I wanted to film this interaction in case it was something funny,” she later told Newsweek.
And what did she find?
Her daughter had dumped a whole lot of tomato sauce on her plate and was happily eating it with her hands.

Honestly, Jones was just relieved it wasn’t worse.
“My first thought was, ‘Thank God it’s not everywhere!!’” she said.
But she wasn’t totally shocked either. Apparently, her daughter has always had a thing for condiments.
"She's a fruit and condiments baby, always has been," Jones said. "Always added ketchup to things or likes to eat straight salt."
Clearly her little one knows exactly what she likes.
In order to keep the peace and avoid a tantrum, Jones said that after she stopped filming she simply took the bottle of sauce away from her and let her keep her plate.
