Comic Con Africa event organisers on Thursday announced that Anthony Mackie will not attend that three-day event scheduled to take place at Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit & International Convention Centre in Johannesburg this weekend.
Taking to the official Instagram page to announce the news, they shared a video message of Mackie expressing his disappointment in having to withdraw from the event at the 11th hour, alongside the caption:
"Due to category 2 Hurricane Florence around the USA, Anthony Mackie is not able to travel to #ComicConAfrica.
Anthony has a message for all the fans affected and promises to attend a future event. Fans who purchased autograph sessions and photo ops will be able to attain a refund or swap the ticket for another guest."
