After captivating audiences and becoming one of the top 10 most streamed titles on Showmax in 2024, "The Real Housewives of Durban" is set to return for a much-anticipated fifth season.

Fans were given a sneak peek of what's to come in the reality show's trailer, featuring a heartfelt moment from OG cast mate, Nonku Williams.

In it, Williams opens up by praying for guidance.

She reveals that she is not single, but "married" to her lord and saviour, Jesus Christ.

"Watch over my mouth, God. Father I repent all my sins," says Williams. Later, she is seen cussing at the ladies.

Alongside Williams, fellow original cast member Sorisha Naidoo will also be returning, maintaining their status as Africa’s longest-serving Housewives.

Jojo Robinson, who joined in Season 2 and Angel Ndledla, a newcomer in the fourth instalment, will also be back, promising a mix of familiar faces and fresh dynamics.

Meanwhile, actress and reality TV star, Slee Ndlovu does not feature in the upcoming season trailer.

The last reunion left viewers on the edge of their seats, when Naidoo walked out, pledging never to speak to Jojo or Nonku again. This season, the stakes are even higher.

The ensuing rivalry split the housewives into two factions, with tensions running deep.

Season five promises to unravel these complexities and explore how the cast navigates their relationships under duress.

Executive producer Sam Kelly, of Let it Rain Films, said: "This season, the cast dynamics have shifted in unexpected ways, offering a new look, feel, and energy that will keep you hooked from start to finish.

"Season five is set to deliver on every front: high-stakes clashes, opulent lifestyles, personal growth, and twists you won’t see coming. Friendships will be forged in the fire, while others will crack under pressure."

The streaming platform also promised that fresh faces are expected to join the new season and they will soon be revealed.

Fans expressed their excitement for the new season.

"Skeem Saam" actress Innocent Chipa Sadiki posted: "😂😂😂 Jo this promo . 🙌 Okay we patiently waiting…"

"Can we at least get 20 episodes!!🔥🔥," wrote @codesaboya.

@phelisa_lokwe asked: "Ooh Showmie, when is it airing?"

South African media personality and YouTube star Lasizwe Dambuza asked: "Does Jesus himself know that he is married to uNonku or…? 😭😭 eyyy bandla Nonku… 😂😂😂."
