South Africa’s beloved reality TV star Michelle Mvundla, known to many as Mpho wa Badimo, is in mourning following the death of her mother, Elizabeth Nonjebo Mvundla.
Mpho wa Badimo, who captured the hearts of many as the winner of Big Brother Mzansi Season 3, recently took to Instagram to pay tribute to her late mother.
Mpho wa Badimo honoured her mother by remembering her as a loving and important family figure.
“With heavy hearts and deepest sorrows on behalf of the Mvundla family, we are saddened to announce the passing of our mother, Elizabeth Nonjebo Mvundla.
“Our mother was everything to us and we can never forget who and what she was in our lives of a matriarch. Although right now our hearts are heavy with indescribable pain, we are hopeful that the sun will rise again and we will learn to live with the pain of losing our mother.”
Elizabeth Mvundla, who also appeared on ‘ThembaInkedWorld’ Season 2, passed away on August 6 after an illness. Her funeral was on August 16.
In an Instagram story, Mpho also shared her deep grief. “Until it’s your mother, one can never fully understand the indescribable pain of losing a mother.”
Mpho and her family also thanked supporters and M&M Funeral Home for their compassion during this time of loss.
“As a family we would like to thank everyone who has supported us during this difficult time, your kind expressions of sympathy are appreciated and we would like to further extend our gratitude to M&M FUNERAL HOME for giving our Queen a dignified send off and also taking care of us during this time.”
