Media personality Dineo Ranaka recently took to the “L-Tido Podcast” to pull back the curtain on her short-lived marriage to mining engineer Klaas Pesha.

True to her bold and honest nature, the former Kaya FM presenter did not mince her words as she delved into the events that led her to end the union.

Ranaka tied the knot in a private ceremony reportedly held between late 2020 and early 2021. However, the marriage lasted seven months before it came to a dramatic end.

She later revealed shocking allegations of abuse and infidelity that ultimately resulted in her decision to leave.

In one of the podcast’s most emotional moments, Ranaka recounted an incident where Pesha physically assaulted her while she held their three-month-old baby.

The divorce process proved no less turbulent as property disputes became a heated issue. Pesha allegedly demanded half of her assets, compounding their already fractured relationship.

She also disclosed how her ex’s treatment of her family added to her heartbreak, mentioning his habit of swearing at and disrespecting her parents during arguments.

Reflecting on her decision, Ranaka shared: “Where there is no God, let no woman submit. You submit only to a man who has submitted himself to God. Not a man who's lost and is pretending to be God. I had to call it quits. I got moered also, and he cheated in an unforgivable way.”

Ranaka made it clear that she doesn't subscribe to feminism, saying she's more aligned with traditional values. She explained that she’s comfortable with her place as a woman and it’s where she thrives.

“I’m a woman I like my place as a woman. I love it, I flourish there. I love for a man to be a man. And I love for him to flourish as a man and take the lead,” Ranaka said.

Beyond her personal experience, Ranaka’s views set off broader conversations about marriage and societal pressures. In a viral video posted in November, she criticised the expectations placed on women to shoulder the success of a marriage.

“It does not make sense that an entire community of human beings would base the success of a contract that is supposed to be two human beings bound together, mutually beneficial, on one individual, the woman,” she stated.
