Multi-award-winning rapper Kendrick Lamar pulled all the stops for his Super Bowl's halftime performance, even including a few surprises.

"I wanna perform their favourite song," he said at one point during the 13-minute set before the beat of rap battle song started and then said "but you know they love to sue."

Tennis legend Serena Williams, who also hails from Compton, and briefly dated Drake, made an appearance dressed in a denim mini skirt and did the famous crip walk, as Lamar performed the Grammy-winning song "Not Like Us".

Williams' cameo has been the talk of social media, with many commenting on her gorgeous legs, her ability to do the crip walk so well, and others wondering if the dance is a dig at her ex?

In January, Drake filed a lawsuit against Universal Music Group (UMG), accusing the label of defamation and harassment over Lamar’s incendiary diss track, “Not Like Us,” which dropped last year.

In legal papers filed in New York, Drake’s lawyers stated that UMG orchestrated a "campaign to create a viral hit" with “Not Like Us”, exploiting the controversy to boost streams at Drake’s expense.

For the SuperBowl Lamar dropped the profanity and the word "pedophile" but didn't stop short of the money line, rapping "tryna strike a chord and it's probably A-minoooooor" on live television in front of tens of thousands of spectators and an estimated 100 million viewers.

Legendary actor Samuel L. Jackson was the set narrator for Lamar's performance and was dressed as Uncle Sam, a character emblematic of American patriotism that has frequently appeared in military propaganda.

The Pulitzer Prize-winner's performance included "Humble" and "DNA" as well as tracks from his most recent album "GNX" and  "Squabble Up".
