DURBAN - KwaZulu-Natal Police are appealing for the public’s help in finding a missing Chatsworth teenager.

Anke Brits, 16, was last seen three weeks ago when she left her Crossmoor home.

Police spokesperson Colonel Thembeka Mbele said Anke who is light in complexion and medium in built was wearing a brown jacket, blue jeans and white takkies when she left home.

“Anyone with information of her whereabouts is urged to contact Detective Sergeant Naicker at the Chatsworth FCS Unit at 031 451 4370 or Crime Stop at 08600 10111.”

Ntando “Ncu” Khumalo

Police were also still searching for Ntando “Ncu” Khumalo, 25, who left home in Inanda on August 1 to buy items from a clothing store in the Durban CBD but has not returned home.

On Tuesday her mother said Ntando had still not been found.

Her family fears that because Ntando is a lesbian she may have been targeted.

Police were also still searching for a new born baby who was taken from his mother in Jozini in the Maphanya area.

“It is alleged that on August 10 the mother had just been discharged from hospital after giving birth to a baby boy the day before, when she met an unknown female who offered to carry the child for her. They boarded a bus from the hospital and when they got off at Mamlambo bus station, the woman disappeared with the baby whilst the mother was eating her meal. When she made enquiries in the vicinity, she was told that a silver grey motor vehicle picked up the woman with the baby and drove away,” said Gwala.

Anyone with information that can assist police to find the baby is requested to contact the investigating officer Sergeant Hadebe at 079 902 6088 or Crime Stop at 08600 10111.
