DURBAN - A foreign-owned supermarket in Donnybrook in KwaZulu-Natal has been fined R3 500 for selling rotten food.

The supermarket was raided by police together with officials from the Department of Economic Development and Tourism and the Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma Local Municipality.

"We are very concerned about the shop's practice which put the lives of consumers at risk. We are happy that people informed us about this and we urge them not to hesitate to call us again, should they come across stale products in the the shops under our municipality," said Vezi.
