Skin pigmentation

Professor Nina Jablonski from Penn State University presents a Darwin lecture titled “Skin Pigmentation: Its Evolution and Meaning in the Modern World” on Wednesday at 5.30 for 6pm at the new Learning Centre, Health Sciences Campus, University of Cape Town, Medical Faculty, Anzio Road, Observatory.

Jablonski believes that an understanding how skin colour evolved and came to have social importance is relevant to human health and wellbeing and the future of human societies. The event is free. To RSVP e-mail [email protected]

Beating Cancer

The Christian Women’s Club invites all women to a talk titled “Cancer is a word, not a sentence” by Clare Matthew from CANSA at Kelvin Grove Club, Newlands on Thursday from 9.30am to 1pm. Barbara Mulder will share her victorious cancer story and Bronwyn Reddy will entertain with song.
