MZANSI talent like Slikour, Flash Republic, Crazy White Boy, and MC ProVerb will appear at the Hennessy Artistry splash at the One & Only Hotel, V&A Waterfront on Saturday at 8pm.
This year’s collaborating artists, which include Sipho ‘Hotstix’ Mabuse, Zonke and Zakes Bantwini, have been hard at work creating a track, dubbed a “musical explosion” by Mabuse. Together with producers The Layabouts, this 2011 work will see an original version and a remixed track released.
The musicians national tour is themed around “the art of blending”.
Hennessy will also launch an Art of Blending documentary this year, which features hip hop legends The Roots and Q-tip, told through the eyes of filmmaker, Thibaut De Longeville.
